***Tootsie will come with a free gift bag of things when she is adopted. She has been with us a long time and we would really like to see her go to her forever home before her puppy days are gone***
Meet Tootsie! Tootsie is a survivor. She came to us through a caring citizen who found out that the owner kept Tootsie, her siblings, and Tootsie's mom as outside dogs. Tootsie's mom was a hunting dog who didn't like to hunt, but he bred her to sell the pups. Well, the pups didn't sell, so word on the street was that he shoots the pups if they don't bring him in any money. She quickly scurried over there (2 hour drive, actually) and rescued the mom and her pups, in our rescue.
Tootsie is as sweet as the candy! She loves our kids, the neighbor kids, anyone she meets. She became an instant playmate to the rest of our pack.
She loves to play, play, play!!! She likes the 3 other dogs in the house. She follows them around as if she is just waiting for something fun to happen! She is great at entertaining herself, too, with a tennis ball or a Kong that recently had peanut butter in it. Tootsie is extremely tidy, too. She likes to have all her toys where ever she is. We find them all piled near her on a bed or in her crate!
Tootsie sleeps in her crate right next to our dog pile overnight. Even on her first night she settled and slept like a champ. She is very good about hanging out in her crate when we are not home.
Tootsie has improved her potty training! She has clear signs when she needs to go out. She has also been following the other dogs out the flap. She does her business in there quite often too. She is very versitile!
She does very well on the leash. She listens nicely when redirected. She is a quick learner and is working on her manners diligently! Tootsie is going to be a wonderful companion to some lucky family!
Tootsie has always had either siblings or a pack to keep her company. Due to her curiosity and activity level, she cannot be adopted as an only dog. She requires a fenced yard - the higher the better - LOL!
Spring has sprung and Tootsie LOVES the birds, grass, flowers, warm breezes...It is amazing to watch such a sweet pup experience her first-EVER springtime! We are hoping that Tootsie's forever family does not miss out on too many more firsts.
She has been spayed and microchipped and has received her rabies vaccine. A free first vet visit is part of her adoption fee.
