6/6/10  Oreo is now with his Forever Family!  He is with a wonderful, loving family.  He will be one loved pooch!  He has doggy and human cousins, doggy neighbors, and lots of windows for bird watching!  He is enjoying the wind chimes and already knows how to ask to go out!  We will miss the little man, but it's nice to know he has such a fantastic new life!

Oreo is a purebred Shih Tzu that had to be given up, sadly, by his owner due to unforseen circumstances. We didn't think a cute little bugger should end up scared and cold in a shelter, so we agreed to help. He is in one of our loving foster homes, warm and safe, until a forever home can be found.

Oreo has only been with us for a few hours and he is already Mr. Popularity!  He loves everyone he meets and they fall in love with him, too!  He is sweet and gentle.  He fit right in with our pack.  He seems a little confused about the busy day he has had.  I am sure that with some TLC and ear scratches that he will adjust well.

He is absolutely gorgeous!  He has a sweet, crooked smile that will melt your heart.  BTW, we have washed his face a few times only to find out that the brown on his face is the brown on his face and not dirt, food, goo, or schmutz!

WOW!  Oreo did great last night!  He did not cry or ask to go out during the night.  Granted, he fell asleep on my pillow, but we figured we would let him just do what he needed to do to sleep.  We are hoping that he will be welcomed into the dog pile before long.

Oreo is a sweet, loving, trusting dog who seems to bond quickly with those who give love.  He would need to be adopted into a kind home where he would have another furkid to keep company and not be left alone for too long a stretch.

Oreo received his vaccines last week.  He was a very good patient!  He has made himself at home here and his personality has come through.  He is loving and trusting.  He is calm around food.  He did not mind his bath last week and he stands nicely while we wipe his paws and belly after a walk.  This past week we found him asleep in his crate on several occasions - he likes it, he really likes it!!  Oh - he has lost 2 pounds and is lookin' mighty fine ;)
