Hamburger has successfully passed his quarantine period with our rescue, has been vetted and is now available for adoption! =)

Hamburger, along with his brothers, sister, and mom, Tiff, were all owner surrenders and are now looking for their forever homes. Mom, Tiff is a pure bred 13 inch beagle, weighing only 25 pounds or so. Who knows what dad is. All the pups look as if they could have some sort of Shepherd mix in them, and their paws are big; right now they are about 18-20 pounds so we are guessing they will be on the 45-50 pound range when they are full grown-? They are all gorgeous pups and seem well socialized.

Hamburger came to us with an embedded collar. We got it off of him and it was quite tight. We shaved his neck so the air could get at his wound and heal it. Look at the pictures.... poor fella! He's in good hands and his foster mom is taking super care of him.

BDSC always quarantines any/all dogs that come into our rescue, whether they are owner surrenders, from a local shelter, or transported from out of state. Even if the dog was seen by a vet and issued a health certificate that says they are healthy, we like to hold them for a minimum of 5 days (longer for puppies) just to be sure they are free from worms in their stool, fleas, kennel cough, or any other illness that may develop or may have been missed by the vet the first time around. It also gives us a chance to give our dogs a good bathing/nail clipping and get to know them before placing them up for adoption to the general public.

Hamburger is neutered, has been bathed, flea treated, bordetalla vaccine, rabies vaccine, parvo/distmper shot, deworming, and comes with a free first vet visit to a participating vet of your choice and a month of free pet insurance. He even comes with a new collar and leash; and a goodie bag full of doggie stuff with a small bag of food to get you started! (and don't forget the standard adoption folder that comes with each dog)
